President's Message - October 2010

I would like to thank all that made our recent rally in Lynden a great success.  Although we did not have as many vendors or seminars as we would have liked,  there was more time for friend-shipping by all.  Everyone did a great job of putting on the events and all went smooth.  A special thanks to the officers that I have worked with these past 2 years.  They made my job a lot easier.

I would like to congratulate our new officers: Helen Hesketh, President; Lois Tressel, 1st Vice President; Pam Hastings, 2nd Vice President; Carol Rodewald, Secretary; and Johnnie O'Dell, Treasurer.  I hope that you give them the same cooperation and courtesies that you gave me.

While we are now experiencing some increased dealer support, but we still must share the task of putting on the rallies.  Our dealers are still experiencing difficult times and need our support more than ever.  If we all continue to help, we will always have great rallies in the future.  I know that this may be difficult for some members, but we can all help in some way.

This will be my last message as President and I would like to thank you for your kind and sometimes not so kind comments on my efforts.  I have learned much and had a great time.  I look forward to many years of involvement in The Wash-I-Bagos and meeting all my friends.  The one thing that I really appreciate about our organization is that we are more like a family than a club and each time we get together is a reunion.  I would especially like to thank my wife, Ferol, without whose help and assistance, I would have had a lot of problems getting things organized.

I look forward to seeing all of you down the road and wish SAFE AND HAPPY TRAILS to all.

Thank you
